I GOT MY NURSING ENTRANCE EXAM SCORES BACK!
Verbal: 99th percentile
Math: 97th percentile
Science: 98th percentile
OVERALL: 99TH PERCENTILE! I SCORED BETTER THAN 99 PERCENT OF PEOPLE TAKING THE TEST! WORD, BITCH. I'M SMART LIKE A MO'FO'!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Saturday I took my nursing entrance exam. It actually wasn't as
hard as I thought it would be. The study guide was much more difficult
than the test. There weren't any quantitative comparisons (which had
the dreaded "D: None of the Above". I hate that) There also really
wasn't any geometry. I finished the verbal section 30 minutes early, so
I went to have a smoke and a pee. I'm glad I did too, because we had 5
minute breaks in between sections but we weren't allowed to leave the
room during them! If you had to pee, you had to wait until the test
started again and take time out of your test to go. I don't think it
was supposed to be that way. I think our proctor was just an idiot. We
ended up shortening the breaks because what the hell is the point of
one, if all you can do is stand up at your desk?
The other crap thing about the test was that we had to show up at 7:30 am. Then they had us form two lines, one for A-K, one for L-Z. They had one person for each line to check us in and collect our money. Then we were given a card to tell us what room to go to, where our IDs were checked again. Then we had to wait for everyone else to get through the line.
The test did not start until 9 FREAKING 30 Ridiculous.
Anyhow, bottom line is I think I did pretty well overall, and I find out in two weeks exactly what my score is.
I've been studying for the nursing entrance exam. Most of the math is laughable easy. No, really. Example: Carol makes $2000 a month. She is given a $350 bonus and $150 commission. How much did she make this month in total?" Seriously? I just have to do the science review, and work more on vocabulary. It's a bit rusty since I've been out of high school for oh, almost 10 years now. The review is quite a bit like the SATs. After I take that test in March, I'll start working on the ProCalc software.
